Sam Levenson

Biography

Sam Levenson has served as a trusted advisor to CEO's, CFO's and Boards of Directors for over 25 years in the Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Global Security functions. His extensive experience includes crisis management, mergers and acquisitions as well as other strategic and financial transactions across global organizations and diversified industries.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Levenson has helped corporations - both large and small - navigate through acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, fraud investigations, regulatory scrutiny, operational failures, network hacks, man-made and natural disasters and geopolitical issues. With experience in global organizations based in the US as well as in Japan, he has extensive travel and work experience abroad, particularly in Asia and Europe. Industry experience includes Hospitality and Leisure, Real Estate, Consumer Electronics, Financial Services, Entertainment and Specialty Retail, among others.

Recognized as an experienced, senior level Investor Relations Officer, Mr. Levenson has been deeply involved with both the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Investor Relations Association (IRA). He served on the NIRI Board of Directors, as chair of its external affairs committee, as chair of its Senior Roundtable, as co-chair of its Annual Conference and as an officer and director of its Boston and Fairfield/Westchester Chapters. For the IRA, he served in each of the officer roles, including president, and subsequently as a director.

Mr. Levenson is a frequent speaker at the NIRI Annual Conference and he has served as host of NIRI's International IR Conference as well as opening speaker at the NIRI Fundamentals of IR Conference.

In addition, Mr. Levenson co-chaired the CFAI/NIRI Joint Taskforce on Issuer and Analyst Relations which published Best Practice Guidelines subsequently endorsed by both the NYSE and NASDAQ. Mr. Levenson also participated in the Business Roundtable Institute for Corporate Ethics and CFA Centre for Financial Market Integrity Symposium on "Short-termism" in the financial markets.

In 2011 Mr. Levenson was appointed by the Financial Accounting Foundation as a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC). In this position, Mr. Levenson is the sole member of the Council representing the investor relations community. The FASAC is responsible for advising the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on technical issues, project priorities and other matters that affect standard setting. Within the first year of his appointment to FASAC, Mr. Levenson was also asked to join the FASAC Steering Committee.

Mr. Levenson also currently serves on the Client Advisory Board for IPREO Holdings LLC. An avid traveler, Mr. Levenson recently completed his Private Pilot license certification and also earned an Instrument Rating.
