Biography

In 2004, Darin Wolter joined Marketwired as Vice President of Sales for its Western U.S. region. In his first six years, Marketwired's profits increased nearly 100-fold and the Company's market share in the news distribution space climbed dramatically. During this time, Darin was promoted to Senior Vice President Sales and his territory oversight grew to include all of Europe and Asia. Under Darin's watch, Marketwired's sales staff grew more than 500%, which was buoyed by new office openings in San Francisco, New York City, Boston, Austin and London (U.K.). In 2010, Darin was named Marketwired's Executive Vice President of Global Sales where he now directs the Company's sales revenue and growth efforts worldwide. Darin brings nearly two decades of sales experience to Marketwired along with a deep knowledge of the financial industry and emerging technologies. A former sales executive with Thomson Financial, Darin held key national management positions (including Vice President and Managing Director) of Thomson's Outbound Sales Team. Prior to Thomson (now Thomson Reuters) Darin held direct sales and management roles at successfully acquired start-ups, StreetFusion and Questlink Technology, in addition to holding key advertising sales positions at Miller Freeman. Darin earned his BA in English from Miami University of Ohio.
